| Audrey rend visite à Cooper pendant son petit-déjeuner. Ils discutent
de Laura et du One Eyed Jack's. |

Lucy et Truman arrivent à l'hôtel du Grand Nord. Cooper leur raconte son
rêve.
- Cooper : Harry, let me tell you about a dream I had last night.
- Truman: Tibet?
- Cooper: No... you were there. Lucy, so were you. Harry, my dream is
a code waiting to be solved. Break the code, solve the crime.
- Lucy: Break the code, solve the crime...
- Cooper: In my dream, Sarah Palmer has a vision of her daughter's killer.
Deputy Hawk sketched his picture. I got a phone call from a
one-armed man named Mike. The killer's name was BOB.
- Truman: Mike and Bobby?
- Cooper: No, different Mike, different BOB. They lived above a convenience
store. They had a tatoo: Fire Walk With Me. Mike couldn't stand
the killing anymore, so he cut off his arm. BOB vowed to kill
again, so Mike shot him. Do you know where dreams come from?
- Truman: Not really.
Lucy: No, no.
- Cooper: Acetylcholine neurons fire high voltage impulses into the forebrain.
These impulses become pictures, the pictures become dreams - but
no one knows why we choose these particular pictures.
- Truman: So what was the end of this dream?
- Cooper: Suddenly it was 25 years later. I was old, sitting in a red
room. There was a midget in a red suit and a beautiful woman. The
little man told me that my favorite gum was coming back into style and
didn't his cousin look exactly like Laura Palmer, which she did.
- Truman: What cousin?
- Cooper: The beautiful woman. She's filled with secrets;
sometimes her arms bend back; where she's from, the birds sing a pretty song,
and
there's always music in the air. The midget did a dance, Laura
kissed me, and she whispered the name of the killer in my ear."
- Truman: Who was it?
- Cooper: I don't remember.
- Truman, Lucy : Damn.
- Cooper: Harry, our job is simple - break the code, solve the crime.

Bagarre à la morgue. Ben Horne et le docteur Hayward veulent empêcher Albert
de continuer l'autopsie afin que l'enterrement de Laura puisse avoir lieu.
- Albert: Mr. Horne, I realize that your position
in this fair community pretty well guarantees venality, insincerity, and
a rather
irritating method of expressing yourself. Stupidity, however, is not
a necessarily inherent trait. Therefore, please listen closely - you
can have a funeral any old time. You dig a hole, you plant a coffin.
I, however, cannot perform these tests next year, next month, next
week or tomorrow - I must perform them now. I've got a lot of cutting and pasting to do, gentlemen, so
why don't you please return to your porch rockers and resume whittling. [met

- Doc Hayward: That does it, I'm taking charge of the

[Truman and Cooper arrivent dans la pièce alors que Ben intervient]
- Cooper:

- Truman: What's going on?
- Doc Hayward: Thank God.
- Albert: Cooper, this old fool is obstructing an investigation.

- Doc Hayward: He won't release Laura's body for the funeral - he's
not human.
- Truman: What's the holdup?
- Albert: Please Cooper, I do not suffer fools gladly
and fools with badges never. I want no interference from this hulking
boob, is that clear?
- Truman: I've had just about
enough of your insults.
- Albert: Well I've had enough of uh, morons and halfwits,
dolts, dunces, dullards and dumbbells, and you chowderhead yokel, you
blithering
hayseed, you've had enough of me?
- Truman: Yes, I have. [Il frappe Albert
au visage, celui-ci tombe sur Laura]

Albert fait son rapport d'autopsie à Cooper et Truman :
Laura a été attachée deux fois, avec deux types de liens différents.
La poudre retrouvée dans son journal est de la cocaïne, Albert attend
le rapport de toxicologie. Des traces de savon ont été retrouvées sur la
nuque.
Elle est décédée suite à de nombreuses coupures. Un fragment
de
plastique
a été retrouvé dans son estomac (partie d'un jeton du One Eyed
Jack's avec
la
lettre J,
fax de Gordon Cole àCooper, épisode 5). |

| Cooper refuse de signer le rapport d'Albert concernant le coup de poing de
Truman. |

| Cooper et Truman partent pour l'enterrement. |

James refuse d'aller à l'enterrement de

| Audrey espionne sa famille à travers un trou de regard dans le mur. Ben et
Sylvia se disputent pour savoir si Johnny doit venir ou non aux funérailles.
Le docteur Jacoby réconforte Johnny. |

Leland pique une crise

le cercueil à la fin de l'enterrement. |

| Au double R, Truman, Hawk et Ed parlent à Cooper de drogues amenés à Twin
Peaks à travers la frontière canadienne et d'une sorte de mal hantant les
bois alentour. |

| Cooper rencontre les Bookhouse Boys (Truman, Ed, James, Joey Paulson, Hawk)
et ils interrogent Bernard Renault au Bookhouse. |

| Jacques appelle Léo à l'aide. Shelly dissimule un revolver dans un meuble. |

| Catherine espionne Josie et Truman. Josie montre à Harry le coffre,
mais un des livres de compte manque. C'est Catherine qui le détient. |

| Cooper rencontre Jacoby au cimetière, sur la tombe de Laura. |
  |
| Josie évoque avec Truman la possibilité que son mari Andrew ait été assassiné. |

| Cooper discute avec Hawk des Esprits et de Laura à la Roadhouse, puis
ils raccompagnent Leland, ivre, chez lui. |
